SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RightAngle Development Supervisor to lead our team of developers in designing and implementing efficient software solutions. As a RightAngle Development Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the development team and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements. This candidate will take ownership of production support, small enhancements, and medium to large-scale projects from a technical perspective, managing both in-house developed solutions and data interfaces with other Love’s Enterprise Trade and Risk Management (ETRM) systems.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage a team of RightAngle developers for critical solutions design, development, testing, and maintenance with little to no oversight.
  • Oversee software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, change management, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Clearly identify project purpose, scope, deliverables, benefits, priority, stakeholders, and success criteria.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on-time, within budget delivery.
  • Develop and implement best practices and processes to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Ensure software solutions are scalable, maintainable, and adhere to industry standards of functionality, performance, data governance.
  • Collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and project managers to ensure software solutions meet business needs.
  • Participate in peer reviews of developers’ work product, offering mentorship and guidance as needed.
  • Extract, analyze, and serve in an advisory capacity on business requirements from a technical perspective.
  • Utilize project management skills, including planning, organizing, and managing technical resources.
  • Effectively communicate team results and progress to stakeholders, senior leaders, and partners.
  • Collect and review feedback regularly to refine technical team processes, automating them when applicable.
  • Create and maintain knowledge base of RightAngle support documentation.
  • Monitor individual and team effectiveness, encouraging collaboration/cross-training.
  • Provide regular feedback, coaching, and training to maintain development team performance.
  • Serve as expert and representative for the Love’s Family of Companies in external-facing RightAngle special interest group (SIG), driving the direction and function of the ETRM platform.
  • Collaborate with external vendor/RightAngle support teams, identifying, documenting, logging, prioritizing, and implementing solutions to defects.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or equivalent experience or certifications
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of SQL Server development and design
    • 7+ years of Microsoft Visual Studio .NET (C# preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience with an ETRM system (RightAngle preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience working with source control and source code repositories, such as Git, Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps
    • 3+ years leading a development team
    • Experience with SSIS and SSRS
    • Experience configuring MS Teams, Azure DevOps
    • Experience with waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills
    • Direct experience with an ETRM application
    • Working knowledge of .NET development, Microsoft SQL Server database, system integration, database design, data warehousing techniques
    • Expert level user in Microsoft Office applications
    • Familiarity with Git, TFS
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical aptitude, business acumen, client focus, problem solving skills and technical initiative are required.
    • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in a high-stress environment.
    • Ability to manage 200+ emails per day.
    • Strong customer service mindset.
    • Excellent team player.
    • Drive to be an impactful leader in the Love’s IT organization.
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
