BASIC PURPOSE: The Workforce Management Analyst intern will learn the ins and outs of Love’s while supporting the Workforce Management team.  Workforce Management is responsible for working to make Love’s larger field population in daily workload and labor allocation.

 

In this role, the intern will be exposed to the many aspects of Workforce Management including working with stores, above store, and corporate departments, as well as communication channels, gatekeeping workload, system and program development, and overall efficiency reporting and analysis.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work to support Field Operations utilizing the Workforce Management software to set Love’s growing workforce up to be as efficient as possible
  • Gatekeep tasks coming across in Task Manager module and communicate with stakeholders
  • Measure workload through analysis utilizing Cognos Advance Analytics (no experience necessary, but preferred if possible)
  • Build and maintain ATLAS Workload Modules Walks, Forms, Checklists and Q Notes and Chat
  • Develop Workforce Management reporting for RTM (Real Time Task) and RWS (Real Time Work Scheduler)
  • Gather requirements from internal/external customers and provide solutions for Time and Attendance, Task Management, and Workforce Management
  • Ability to test and validate any changes, enhancements, or technical issues.
  • Develop reporting to identify staffing opportunities and aid stores in maximizing labor productivity.
  • Provide staffing recommendations using relevant data and key performance indicators of staffing service levels.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education:
    • HS Diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent experience and/or certification
    • LEAN Six Sigma Green, Blue, or Black Belt
  • Experience:
    • Love’s Field Experience or other Retail, Restaurant, or Truck Care Preferred
    • Experience using Reflexis or other labor modeling software
    • Experience using IBM Cognos for Advanced Analytics Reporting

 

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:
    • Hard Skills: Strong knowledge of labor modeling and labor modeling software. Working knowledge of Reflexis a plus.
    • Soft Skills:  Willingness to learn new things as things are constantly evolving, ability to be creative and think outside of the box, great communication skills as this team works with almost all populations in the Love’s Family of Companies in some capacity or another, excellent listening and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business terms to all levels of management; highly self-motivated and directed; keen attention to detail; proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment; strong customer service orientation; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Typical Physical Demands:
    • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
    • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
