Compliance Analyst

BASIC PURPOSE: Provide analysis and reporting essential to Musket and Trillium’s trading compliance program.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with trading, legal, risk, and accounting to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
• Maintain policies, procedures, and controls to help mitigate compliance risks
• Review, analyze, and report results from internal trade surveillance system(s)
• Respond to and report alerts from internal compliance systems/solutions
• Assist with internal compliance investigations and reviews of trading activity
• Assist with investigation and responses to regulatory inquiries
• Assist with routine compliance trainings
• Ad hoc compliance reporting as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience:
  • Experience in a trading organization, financial services, or consulting firm preferred
  • Relevant experience or internship in a compliance, audit, middle office, or legal role preferred

 SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Skills:
  • Proven organizational and time-management/prioritization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Familiarity with commodity trading (physical and derivatives)
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to Musket’s commercial business lines
• Typical Physical Demands:
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
